How You Can Help
THERE ARE A NUMBER OF WAYS YOU CAN MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE...
DONATE MONEY TO CFI
An ambitious project like this will need a lot of money. Please give what you can; however large or small, your donation will make a huge difference. We will aim to have a list of specific projects that will give you an idea of the practical applications of your donations: eg. £2000 will buy the kit for one homeworker to digitise newsclippings, and £5000 will pay for 5,000 or more scanned items (including media and indexing). You might also consider leaving a bequest to CFI in your will. Here are more examples of what we'll need money for ... the rent of premises to receive and store donated material; to make the location secure and functional; to hire professional people to catalogue and index that material; and to hire people and acquire all the start-up equipment for computing and administration.
DONATE BOOKS etc TO CFI
The CFI will be pleased to receive any books, periodicals, newsclippings, photocopies, pictures, tapes, films, ephemera, anything relevant that you no longer have a need or room for. If you have a collection of material and your kids are not interested in it and you'd like it to be useful to someone after your death, please leave it to CFI in your will. If you'd like to discuss this beforehand please contact us.
